Discover how to create dynamic botanical paintings in watercolor.
Students will explore composition, color, and essential watercolor techniques while learning to capture the beauty, movement, and character of leaves and foliage. Through guided instruction, you'll develop the skills to transform simple plant forms into expressive and engaging works of art.
Supplies:
- 140 lb cold press watercolor paper
- HB pencils, eraser
- Tray for paint, water container
- #2 and #4 pointed round brushes
- Paper towel
- Watercolor paints: Cadmium red medium, cadmium yellow medium and deep, raw umber, burnt sienna, sepia, alizarin crimson, sap green, phthalo green, dioxazine purple, ultramarine blue
