Description
Stacked Paper Design
instructor Linda Schulman
Dates April 8, 2026 - May 27 2026
Thursday 10:00am - 1:00 pm
In this engaging mixed-media class, students will explore gelli plate printing as a way to create richly colored, one-of-a-kind painted papers. Gelli printing is a simple and intuitive form of monoprinting that allows for playful experimentation with color, texture, and layering—no prior experience required.
During the first part of the session, students will focus on creating a collection of painted papers using a variety of gelli plate techniques. In the following weeks, these papers will be cut and stacked into layered compositions, revealing rhythm, pattern, and visual movement through straight-edge shapes and thoughtful placement.
This class is ideal for anyone interested in process-based exploration, collage, and surface design. Come unwind, experiment, and learn a versatile creative approach in a supportive studio environment.
