Pointsettias in Watercolor Workshop

Date: Sunday, January 11, 2026
Time: 1:30 pm - 4:30pm
While observing a still life of a pointsetta plant, we will do a very basic drawing of the petals and leaves, omitting the pot, Georgia O'Keefe style. Everyone will make 2 separate drawings. One of the drawings will be toned with a watercolor wash and left to dry.. The other drawing will be painted in directly with paint, focusing on stron reds and greens.
Supplies:
2 sheets of 140 lb cold press watercolor paper, 9" x 12" or 11: x 14"
pencil and eraser,
#4 or #6 pointed round watercolor brush
#2 pointed round watercolor brush
Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium red medium, dioxazine purple, phthalo green
